Gunners equip guns (what else?) and do a great job of combining heavy physical attacks with status effects. Like archers, they typically have great accuracy and marksmanship, and offset their weak defense with their distance attacks.

NAME: Barret Wallace
OVERVIEW: As opposed to Vincent, many of his attacks affect a wide area of enemies. His high strength offset his accuracy and magic abilities.
WEAPONS: Gun Arm
LIMITS:
  • Big Shot - Fire a massive ball of hot energy at one enemy
  • Mindblow - Fire a massive ball of hot energy at one enemy to drain MP
  • Grenade Bomb - Launch a grenade at one enemy
  • Hammerblow - Knock enemy out of battlefield (ineffective against bosses)
  • Satellite Beam - Satellite projects a beam of energy on enemy causing damage
  • Ungarmax - Unleash large amounts of ammo at enemy
  • Catastrophe - Use gun arm to hover over opponents and blast them
  • ATTRIBUTES: High HP, high strength, high physical defense, low MP, low magic, low magic defense, low speed

    NAME: Vincent Valentine
    OVERVIEW: As opposed to Barret, Vincent has increased accuracy, much like an Archer. His limits have nothing to do with gunning.
    WEAPONS: Shotgun/Rifle
    LIMITS:
  • Galian Beast - Transform into a purple beast with high HP and do Berserk Dance or Beast Flare
  • Death Gigas - Transform into humanoid freak with double HP & defense and do Gigadunk or Livewire
  • Hellmasker - Transform into a masked chainsaw maniac with high defense and do Splattercombo or Nightmare
  • Chaos - Transform into a winged demon and do Chaos Sabre or Satan Slam
  • ATTRIBUTES: High magic defense, high accuracy, low HP, low physical defense, low speed

    NAME: Irvine Kinneas
    OVERVIEW: Only Squall has more accuracy that Irvine. Much like Vincent, he equips a rifle/shotgun, but his limits all involve various types of shots with different recovery speeds.
    WEAPONS: Rifle
    LIMITS:

  • Normal Shot - Normal damage at one enemy
  • Scattered Shot - Normal damage at all enemies
  • Dark Shot - Normal damage at one enemy causing Blind
  • Fire Shot - Normal fire-damage at one enemy
  • Canister Shot - Heavy damage at one enemy
  • Quick Shot - Little damage at one enemy with quick recovery time
  • Armor Shot - Normal damage at one enemy, ignoring any defense
  • Hyper Shot - Massive damage at one enemy
  • ATTRIBUTES: High speed, low magic power, low magic defense

    NAME: Laguna Loire
    OVERVIEW: Laguna has the same stats and GFs as the character he is junctioned to.
    WEAPONS: Machine Gun
    LIMITS:
  • Desperado - Toss a grenade on the field, then swing around the battlefield on a rope, peppering the ground with gun fire
  • ATTRIBUTES: Same as junctioned character

    FF12RW
    NAME: Balthier
    OVERVIEW: Closer to FFT's Engineer class, Balthier disables enemies and deals damage from a distance.
    WEAPONS: Guns
    ABILITIES/MAGIC:
  • Tri-Shot (Shoot three times in succession)
  • Percussive Slug (Knock enemy back)
  • Sniper Eye (Increase attack range)
  • Quicksilver (Increase strength)
  • Hamstring (Immobilize enemy)
  • Maim (Disable enemy)
  • Armor-piercing Shot (Deal damage in a straight line)

    NAME: Fusilier
    OVERVIEW: Only enemy moogles can be fusiliers
    WEAPONS: N/A
    ABILITIES/MAGIC:
  • Firaga Shot, Blizzaga Shot, Thundaga Shot, Stonega Shot, Energy Slug

  • FFX-2
    NAME: Gunner
    OVERVIEW: The Gunner is Yuna's default class. It has a variety of damage-causing abilities.
    WEAPONS: Twin pistols
    ABILITIES/MAGIC:
  • Trigger Happy - Make multiple low-damage hits on target for a brief time
    Gunplay:
  • Potshot - Damage one enemy
  • Cheap Shot - Damage one enemy, ignoring defense
  • Enchanted Ammo - Inflict magic damage on enemy
  • Target MP - Damage target's MP
  • Quarter Pounder - Reduce target's MP by 1/4
  • On The Level - Damage one target according to gunner's EXP level
  • Burst Shot - Critically damage one enemy
  • Tableturner - Inflict damage inversely proportional to enemy's defense
  • Scattershot - Deal damage to all targets
  • Scatterburst - Deal critical damage to all targets
  • SUPPORTED ABILITIES: Darkproof, Sleepproof, Trigger Happy Lv.2 (increase time for Trigger Happy), Trigger Happy Lv.3 (greatly increase time for Trigger Happy)

    NAME: Gunner
    OVERVIEW: This Gunner uses shots with status or elemental attributes.
