The shape of the stirrup vessel is a specific form of sacrificial ceramics that is only known in South America. They were probably never used as everyday goods or everyday tableware and only as offerings. They were also probably unsuitable for storing liquids because filling them is laborious. I think symbolically it would be conceivable as a form of the vault of heaven with the exit to the gods, like holding and moving it during rituals before the ceramic was sent into the next life.

The figure shows strange physical features, which, contrary to our current thinking, were considered something very special. When dressed like an official or priest, physical deformities are noticeable. The figure is missing fingers and the face shows an unusual eye position and facial deformities. Today we call these diseases oligodactyly, Crouzon syndrome or Treacher Collins syndrome. In pre-Columbian times it was something very special, inexplicable, so the gods had to be involved.
