Yoshitaka Amano was one of my biggest inspirations when I began making comics for myself. When I was a teenager, I loved watching the cutscenes for the Final Fantasy X games since I didn't have a Playstation at the time. But the ethereal style of Amano just fits so perfectly with the themes and atmosphere of the Final Fantasy series. The book is an extensive gallery of his drawings, showing how he mixed illustration with design and fashion to create compelling stories within a singe image that would end up being played out on one of the world's most beloved video game series.
